When we sense others’ emotions, it can allow us to adjust to reflect on what they want or need instead of being present as the person we are meant to be. What Daerick didn’t know as a young man was that this ability to sense others’ feelings and needs would be the exact skill he would need to propel him into the healing and the energy work he does currently.

As you can likely imagine, gifts take time and training to develop to a point that one is able to practice with others. Even though we are born with specific traits and talents that help us fulfill our purpose, it is our responsibility to find out what those traits are - and then nurture them to fruition.

One day while meditating, Daerick sensed a presence behind him. Upon turning around, he saw a vision of a woman who would become his teacher and later, his wife. Little did he know that Nedrra, his teacher and would-be wife, had the same vision at the same time. They both knew they were about to meet each other, but neither had any idea who the other was.

After formally meeting while facilitating a consciousness workshop, Daerick and Nedrra began a long-distance romance that very quickly turned into a committed relationship. Daerick’s formal training to become a healer happened in the mountains of California and was facilitated by his soon-to-be wife, Nedrra. His first experience with healing came as a totally unexpected and intensely painful experience.

Daerick and Nedrra’s relationship moved fast, and after two and a half months of long-distance romance, they knew they didn’t want to be apart. Daerick packed up and moved from Sacramento to Idyllwild in a car that was in disrepair. Although it got him safely to Idyllwild, the car had a radiator leak. After using a stop-leak product that included aluminum flakes designed to patch his radiator leak, he drove around to ensure it did the trick. Upon returning home, he opened the hood of the car and the radiator was still steaming with boiling hot radiator fluid. As he leaned in to release some of the pressure, the cap blew off. Scalding liquid and metal flakes burst out of the radiator onto Daerick. There he was, his face, arms, neck, and torso, covered in flakes of scalding aluminum and radiator fluid. As Daerick went into shock, he had the wherewithal to head into the house and call on Nedrra to help. It was at this moment when Daerick began his journey to heal himself and others.

As Nedrra was about to start healing him, she paused. “I hear this is an opportunity for you”, Nedrra said. “The opportunity here is for you to learn to heal yourself. I can heal you if you want, or I can teach you how to heal yourself.” And so it began. Daerick’s body began healing nearly instantaneously. Within 15 minutes, he saw a profound difference. The pain went away. The welts started to recede. Within two days, there was no evidence at all that he had been burned - except for one tiny scar on his wrist, which he believes his Universe left there as a reminder that the incident was in fact very real.

Daerick intuitively understood this was a window into the future, showing him what he had had the potential to do, with a lot of training. He knew he had to start from square one with Nedrra next to his side. Over the first 6-10 months, Daerick was only allowed to work on healing himself. He trained between 60-80 hours per week, working through many of the root causes, fears, and beliefs that were blocking his healing abilities. After those many months, Nedrra began to call on him to do healing work with others, while supervised by her. He opened a donation-only healing clinic in Del Mar and then eventually 2 other donation-only clinics in Santa Monica and in the San Francisco Bay area. All the while, Daerick debriefed Nedrra so as to always be in search of being the most effective healer possible. After 5 years of intense training, Nedrra put Daerick through a very intensive Master’s level exam which made him pull together so much of what she taught him. Daerick had to call on physical healing, emotional healing, spiritual healing, shamanic training, and everything else he was taught in the last 5 years in a culminating event that he passed. This marked the change from Nedrra being his teacher to her being his most trusted mentor and advisor.

Now a healer facilitator by trade, Daerick specializes in metaphysics and quantum healing. After talking with Daerick, you will soon see his passion and commitment to helping others. Some might refer to him as an energy healer or a spiritual healer. No matter what you call him, he is highly skilled in his field, and with over 27 years of service, he has done over 50,000 treatments. With that kind of experience, there is very little that surprises him. He specializes in working with clients to bring their bodies to a state in which it can and does heal itself. His clients usually come to him after trying a myriad of “solutions” that have not worked for them. Most of Daerick’s clients come to him after having focused on eastern and western medicines without success. Most of them come to him after years of suffering or being undiagnosed or misdiagnosed.

Daerick and Nedrra have been married for over 25 years and have 3 kids and 7 grandkids between them. They live happily on the Big Island of Hawaii as well in the Puget Sound area of the Pacific North West.
